Writing Lab Reports and Technical Reports – effective, to the point, and clear
Writing short texts in everyday life is usually an easy thing to do. Writing reports for the university, however, initially appears to be much more demanding to many people – partly because of the basic principles, formats and rules that have to be observed. This applies in particular to lab reports, technical reports and result documentations, as these have specific requirements.
Knowing the rules helps you to be precise in your work, structure your texts appropriately and describe your results clearly and in adequate words.
This workshop explains the rules and gives the reasons why these rules were established for writing lab reports. Beyond that, you can try out certain tools in order to get a better grasp of your writing, make an effective outline and finally put it in proper words with more ease.
